BMW factory paint is very thin! Okay so i had a one inch scratch on my passenger side skirt. It was about 2mm wide, pretty wide for a scratch and it was down to the plastic. I decided to use some touchup paint, clear coat then wet sand (2000grit) it smooth. I put 2 layers of paint, 1 layer of clear, and let it cure for a couple days.
