Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is the long-awaited successor to Mount & Blade: Warband, a highly praised medieval battle simulator and role-playing game. If you want to check out the game for yourself, make sure to visit the official Steam Store page. Bannerlord Campaign vs Sandbox: What are the differences? Bannerlord Campaign vs Sandbox
Sandbox for me. I just don't like having pre-defined siblings. Being a lone adventurer like is more appealing to me. Classic Mount & Blade, you know. I don't care for the main quest. It's pretty cool I guess, but if you're playing as a non-heroic character it kinda ruins the RP.

Just asking. I'd love to do a new run using bandits and such, but the skill to actually upgrade looters/etc is so far down the line of leadership, effectively making it useless. By the time you level up to that point, you don't really want/need bandits and they mostly become irrelevant in general. I really don't see a use for that skill when you'd select it as by then, troops are largely

That seems pretty silly. Probably better just to consider the old Warband map more geographically compressed. 88. yaccub. 1.9K votes, 277 comments. 265K subscribers in the mountandblade community. Problem with Sandbox is your character start with 1 less attribute-focus points (how you escaped from raiders question is not asked in sandbox) and you dont start with a badass brother which is a perfect candidate of quertermaster position. Because of these I still play campaign.

Manavlions are better agaisnt cavalry, Legionaries have sheilds. I try to keep it around 50/50. technically legionary is better at getting shot at and at blocking stuff in general, while menavliaton is better at killing stuff, in general you want both, but if you had to pick just one then legionary. 2. Epicmonies. • 2 yr. ago. The only games similar to Bannerlord are the older Mount and Blade games. Warband is considered the best since it has the most total conversion mods which provide 1000s of hours of play in very different settings. 35. cut-the-cords. • 2 yr. ago. Mount and Blade is more gamey, it's not as historically accurate, it's generally more vague but it will afford a lot more replayability than Kingdom Come which revolves around the storyline. Kingdom Come is about progressing through the story, Mount and Blade is about the experience. 2. Renn_Hoek.
Overall there's nothing really wrong with steam downloads and it's a good idea to check them regularly for Bannerlord if you only use Nexus, since it does seem like Steam is where most mods will end up looking at number of downloads vs. Nexus versions. Ty for the well informed opinion. #4. Showing 1 - 4 of 4 comments.
Charging isn't always bad however. When using charge, your units will chase retreating enemies, whereas they will not while advancing. Also when charging your units will funnel through choke points which isn't always bad. All in all, both have their uses, but "advance" offers much more tactical control than charge. 9.

Shadow Type: Okay, there are two settings that make a massive difference in Mount & Blade 2, and this is the only one that doesn't affect the game itself. Mount & Blade 2 includes three different JohanGrimm. • 4 yr. ago. Bannerlord takes place 210 years before Warband, in an analogous period to the fall of the Roman empire. So unfortunately plate armor isn't really a thing for the time period. I always roll head to toe plate so I'll be waiting for mods. 34.
Differences, really only map location and who they will probably be at war with more often. I have probably started around 8-10 games since release and by the time I am ready to choose a faction (late clan 2 early 3) the Southern Empire seems to be in the best position with Western being hit or miss stable and Northern being the worst and sometimes they are almost gone.
Hello, I'm on the fence. I want to get into the series, but I don't understand the difference mechanic wise between bannerlord and warband. If I play warband, will I miss cool stuff, or is bannerlord just a suited up modern version of warband, a remaster essentialy. I know this game is buggy as crap, but I actually want to know what features I'm buying in to. 8RCgwT0.
